Komline-Sanderson Limited, a manufacturer of process equipment for the water, wastewater and power utility industries, constructed a custom “paddle dryer/pulverizer” processor to decompose sludge, biosolids and by-products produced by municipal wastewater plants. To ease the entry of sludge into the Paddle Dryer, a solution was required to facilitate the elevation of one large hinged door, positioned at the crest of the processor. Trans-Quip Inc. supplied two Joyce machine screw jacks (DWJ63U1S-15-STDX-WWOB-X), which were integrated into the design of the processor, to easily raise and lower one side of the processor door. As a result of the screw jack application, a larger entry into the Paddle Dryer processor was created for sludge, biosolid and by-product processing thereby increasing speed and productivity. |
