Expressions of Wood is a Halifax, Nova Scotia based manufacturer of custom solid wood furniture, cabinetry and accessories. A motorized sander bed that had been purchased by the company was used to move various lengths and thickness of wood through the sander.  The company approached Trans-Quip Inc. to provide a solution that would speed up the process. Their requirement was to quickly adjust the sander bed to accommodate the different pieces of lumber and complete the sanding all under 5 minutes.

Trans-Quip provided an affordable and low maintenance system to Expressions of Wood. Along with two WJ1000-9-UP-T2 machine screw jacks, a handwheel was affixed on the outside of the machine allowing an operator to quickly and easily raise and lower the sanding bed.
