Winnipeg, MB based Omniglass Corp. designs and manufactures extrusion machinery as well as molded fiberglass framing for windows. The existing stationary belt conveyor had to be modified in order to raise the bed to different heights to accommodate various window frame extrusion sizes. Since the conveyor is comprised of two machines, each had to be able to raise and lower it’s conveyor bed independently. Trans-Quip Inc. provided the answer with four WJ250-8-UP-T2 machine screw jacks, two per machine. Using screw jacks provided a cost effective solution as very little modification to the conveyor had to be made. |
