Trans-Quip Inc. Signs Agreement to Serve as Master Distributor in Canada for SERAPID Rigid Chain Systems

GRIMSBY, Ontario (May 29, 2003) – Trans-Quip Inc. is pleased to announce that they have just signed an exclusive agreement with SERAPID USA to serve as the Canadian Master Distributor for SERAPID Rigid Chain systems. Although the SERAPID line has been used successfully in France for over 30 years and in the US for over 10 years, it is just now being introduced to the Canadian market.
The SERAPID Rigid Chain system is as simple as it is effective. The system is comprised of a unqiue chain drive housing and a chain with special links featuring a hook-like extension called the 
shoulder. The shoulder serves as a joint between neighbouring links. When the chain travels through the drive housing and force is applied, the shoulders interlock and make the chain as rigid as a jack. However, at their cross-axes, the links are connected flexibly, just as in an ordinary chain. Thus the rigid chain, after passing back through the chain housing, becomes flexible and can be coiled up for efficient storage. SERAPID Rigid Chains can be used for both horizontal and vertical linear motion applications.
