Custom Stainless Steel Cladded Lift for Cathode Washing Process

(Niagara Falls, NY  October 29, 2004)  Handling Specialty engineered and manufactured this custom 30,000 lb. capacity lift to withstand a corrosive wash environment.  This hydraulic lift is used to lower and present a load of cathodes to a sulphuric acid washing process.  Once washed, the cathodes, dripping with acid, are returned to the lift and raised.  To protect the lift from the sulphuric acid, stainless steel cladding was installed on all of the exposed surfaces of the lift.
