Custom Personnel Platforms for Train Maintenance

(Niagara Falls, NY  April 30, 2002)  This custom gantry system by Handling Specialty was designed to allow maintenance personnel to traverse the entire length of a train.  This mobile platform runs along 600’ of track and is controlled via a push-button pendant.  For safety, access to the platform is restricted by a kirk key system and the platform / guardrails are composed of fiberglass to prevent conductivity.
