Gantry Provides Easy Access to Railcar Air Conditioning Units

(Niagara Falls, NY  March 31, 2003)  Handling Specialty engineered and manufactured this gantry unit for the removal and reinstallation of railcar air conditioners.  The gantry design features a guard rail, self-locking gate, safety hook-ups, double flanged wheels with locking brakes, and an access ladder with safety cage.  The air conditioners are lifted from the railcar roof via a 2,000 lb. capacity electric chain hoist.
